Welcome from the Chair
It is my pleasure to write the welcome to the June newsletter and tell you a little of what the Board is currently doing. We have welcomed two new members - Angela Watson and Adam Hughes. Angela is a Registered Nurse currently working at Middlemore A&E. Angela will be contributing some new initiatives that we are considering that will encourage more social activities within the organisation. Adam is a qualified Physiotherapist and applies this knowledge in his role as a Health and Safety Manager. I think that as a Physio, he is going to be quite impressed with how CE is being used to help so many different conditions and situations. Adam will be helping to design an assessment system so that our clients can easily identify goals and the achievement of those goals (or otherwise).
The Board is very keen to grow our clientele and continue to encourage our existing clients to share our business cards with people you see, who will benefit from our care. We have recently had Taikura Trust management visit us at the centre. Taikura manage funding from the Ministry of Health and we are hoping that some of the people from our funders, will accept our invitation to meet with our clients and perhaps even join them in a session. We also want to increase the social activities on offer and wish to ensure that NCF remains a really great place to connect with others. We need your input and Clare is helping us with much of this and welcomes your suggestions.
We have had various members of the staff leaving for overseas breaks and family time with Inna departing at the beginning of June. We wish her safe travels. And talking of family time, we also wish Reka great joy and congratulations in starting her own family. She will take leave in September.
Winter is upon us now, however, it’s not for long which is fortunate, as we know how incredibly hard it is to leave a warm house and venture outside. Just as well that our community of clients enjoy and benefit from coming to NCF so much. Don’t give into the cold, but please try to stay warm and well.
