Peter's Story

Peter Parkinsons

"There’s a comradery that exists, we understand each other"

In 1994 I noticed something was wrong with my right hand. It had a twitch. I went to the doctor and he put it down to a benign tumour. As time went on it got worse.

At a visit to a Colonoscopy Specialist he noticed my hand shaking and asked if I had Parkinson's. I mentioned this to my doctor so he referred me to a consultant who confirmed the diagnosis.

A friend who was attending Conductive Education classes recommended INRF so I came for a viewing, was assessed by the friendly team and the rest, they say, is history. I continue coming as there’s a comradery that exists here, we understand each other.
